Iveco Vans |
Most Iveco Vans are built in either Spain or Italy. They make most of the diesel engines in most of the commercial vehicles you know. Iveco Vans make many of Europe's fire engines, ambulances and heavy trucks. They are to armoured cars what Saab is to fighter planes. Most of what you see on today's road in the UK will be the Iveco Daily. It has good, brisk engines, a ladder chassis that is found on all of the best vans, and a dual back wheel option, just for good measure. The current Model is named the Euro IV in most dealerships, to denote the engine and facelift to comply with Euro IV engine emissions. You have probably driven a vehicle with an Iveco van engine without even knowing it.

History of Iveco
Iveco is based in Turin Italy, and was created by Fiat in 1975. The First Iveco Daily was produced in 1978, the Iveco Turbo in 1981, and Iveco Turbostar in 1984.
In the early 1990's Iveco Vans went though several crises, eventually splitting each division down, to make it easier to control.
They are one of the largest truck manufacturers in both Europe and in South America with an unbelievable 48 factories worldwide.
They are one of the few van producers who make everything from vans, trucks to military vehicles, including light tanks. Saab may produce aircraft, but you could say your Iveco was build like a tank, because it is!
They are also the leading European manufacturer of Fire Engines. No they don't come in silver!
Almost 60 % of the engines Iveco make are put into other makes. So anyone who says, " I would never drive an Iveco," the chances are they already have in one or other diesel van.
