Proofs

If you are getting credit you will require proofs.

Unacceptable proofs

• Mobile phone, credit cards, shop cards
• Over 60 days old
• Not showing the correct address
• Out of date
• Showing wrong name
• Letter from mum

Best proofs

• Bank statements
• Gas, water, electric bill, land line telephone bill
• Government form such as P60 etc
• VAT bill

Proof of signature

• Driving license (both parts)
  Ring if lost
  Warning. If your license shows an old address this has to be searched too
• Passport
• Both sides of a valid debit or credit card
   

Bank Statements

• If you have to prove your income with bank statements
  Last three months current statements
• Not just the totals
• Must be concurrent not cherry picked
• Must be genuine
