The T5  Volkswagen Transporter or VW is arguably the best selling van in the world. There are countries in Latin America in which you would be hard pushed to find any other make. This is because they tend to keep their vehicles much, much longer than us.
As it stands this Volkswagen which has recently changed shape is an interesting alternative for many who need to carry in the region of a tonne or just under. This is probably 50% of the market!
There are two main engines, in the VW Transporter, a 1.9 and a 2.5. The 1.9 is so good that the 2.5 doesn't usually get much of a look in. However they are useful if you want to avoid changing gears with a maximum payload.

The key to the New VW Transporters are the engine and the torque. Volkswagen have abandoned the common rail diesel engine, in favor of the PD, the "pump duse" or pressure device. The most popular way to buy is on a VW Lease.
